Proposal Approval Checkpoint
A proposal goes out with the wrong price, an old scope, or a typo in the client's name — and you only notice after they reply. This workflow puts a fast human gate in front of every send: the draft pauses, you get a one-click approve or reject in Slack, and only approved proposals reach the client.
You write the proposal, mean to re-read it, get pulled into a call, and send it half-checked. The mistake you catch a day later costs you credibility — or the deal.
Every draft stops for a two-second approve/reject in Slack before it can leave. Nothing client-facing goes out unreviewed, and approvals don't slow you down.
How it works
- 1Catch the draft — A webhook fires the moment a proposal is ready (from your doc tool, CRM, or a manual trigger) and holds it before any send.
- 2Ask for sign-off — Posts the proposal summary to Slack with Approve / Reject buttons — the whole review is one tap, no inbox digging.
- 3Branch on the answer — Approved → it continues to send. Rejected → it stops and notifies you why, so nothing slips out by accident.
- 4Send & record — On approval, Gmail sends the proposal and the decision is logged with a timestamp for a clean audit trail.

Questions
Does the approval step slow my proposals down?
Barely — it's a single Slack tap, usually answered in seconds. The point is to stop the rare bad send, not to add bureaucracy.
Can more than one person approve?
Yes. Route the approval to a channel or to specific people, and require one or several approvals before it proceeds.
What's it tested on?
Tested on n8n v1.58+. You connect your own Slack and Gmail (or swap in your email tool).
